Home / The consultation
How the consultation works.
It is a conversation, not a sales appointment, and a meaningful share of them end with me recommending less than you came in for.
Most appointments here do not need a separate consultation at all. You book the treatment, and this conversation happens inside the appointment you are already paying for. Loose skin and device work are the exception, and they have their own appointment.
You tell me what you have in mind
Not which treatment you want, but where you would like to get to. Some people arrive with one thing they want gone. Others arrive wanting to look a particular way rather than to fix a particular thing, and a few just want to stay ahead of it. All three are useful and they lead to different plans. Bring what you have had done before, roughly when, and what you did and did not like about it.
I look properly, in person
For device work in particular I do not assess from a photograph or a message. What I am sorting out is how much of a concern is skin quality, how much is where volume sits, and how much is the structure underneath. Those lead to different appointments, and images do not tell them apart reliably.
I tell you what I would do
Including when that is nothing yet, or something cheaper, or something on a different page, or a surgeon. If I would not have it done myself, I will say so.
You get the number before you commit
You get your exact number in the room, before you commit to anything. If it is a course, you get the total for the course before the first session rather than after it.
You decide, and you can decide later
Nobody is going to pressure you into booking on the day. Payment plans are available through Affirm and Cherry if you want them.
The first visitWhat I will ask you for
- What you have had done, what product if you know it, and roughly when.
- Your medical history, honestly, including anything you would rather not mention.
- What is in your calendar for the next few months. Events change timing more than anything else.
- What you can genuinely commit to afterwards, particularly sun avoidance.
What I will not do
- Change your quote after it is given at your consultation.
- Add something to the plan you did not ask about without telling you why.
- Book device work I have not assessed in person.
- Tell you a treatment will do something I cannot stand behind.
“I was referred to Jamie after being way too nervous to do anything to my face, and I'm so glad I went. She immediately made the entire experience feel easy, comfortable, and completely uncomplicated.”

The consultation is where we work out what is right for you, and you will always hear exactly what I would do, and why.
Payment plans are available through Affirm and Cherry, arranged with the lender at your consultation and never sprung on the day.
